WHY SUPPORT P.A.W.S.?
P.A.W.S. adds significant value to the community because the animals of San Antonio are likely to live longer, healthier lives thanks to the services we render. We provide value to the city of San Antonio because we advocate spay/neuter practices and make them accessible to residents of the community through low-cost clinics. This practice reduces the number of strays and unplanned litters and lessens the diseases transmitted amongst these strays. We add value to our city government because with the more street saves we perform, the fewer animals for Animal Care Services to pick up. That directly impacts the rate of euthanasia for our city shelter because their intake numbers lower.
1. We are the only foster based rescue in SA that does rescue AND teaches humane education/animal welfare education.
2. We are the only foster based rescue that sponsors STUDENTS.
3. We have no paid staff. Volunteer only. So 100% of fundraising (your contributions) goes to the animals.
4. We partner with many local rescues including the San Antonio Humane Society, ADL, SAPA and GOD'S DOGS and work with out of state no kill shelters and Canadian rescues to get animals adopted.
5. P.A.W.S. offers various programs in the community where we are in need of volunteers, equally as important are donations! Your donations will help us offer more Humane Education Camps and allow us to continue enhancing the quality of life for homeless animals by RESCUING, TREATING, and REHOMING them.
